Hi Petra! You started Pusselfamiljen a couple of years ago - who are you?
- Hello! Pusselfamiljen started as a social media forum for parents, relatives, school staff, and employers surrounding families and children with neuropsychiatric (NPF) diagnoses. The idea was to spread knowledge, understanding, and tips, but also to offer a place where all parents could meet and share their everyday life. This type of forum we created is something that I have been missing myself. I have children with Asperger's syndrome, ADD, and ADHD, which is where the name Pusselfamiljen comes from. Today, our company includes not only NPF orientation but different areas around mental health, focusing on the individual needs to feel good.
Okay, and what is the connection to workplaces?
- It can be incredibly tough to be a parent of children with NPF diagnoses. You often have numerous school and care contacts, have to fight for your child, and are not always listened to. This is draining, and giving 100 % at work becomes a difficult equation. However, we all go through challenges and stresses in our everyday and working lives. It can be anything from a lack of recovery to sadness. You carry a heavy weight but get no relief. Many people become burned out, which is not only negative for the individual but also for the company and society. That is why we work with mental health, preferably preventively, both on-site at work and in everyday life. We are passionate about a sustainable working life and everyday life for every single individual.

- We have a holistic view of our way of working and, above all, offer individual coaching. Our team comprises a certified conversation coach, parent coaching within NPF, NPF-specialized pedagogues with a focus on making school and everyday life work better, as well as a coach with extensive experience in healthcare, rehab, and training. You are not anonymous to us, but no one at work needs to know anything.
